Hi everyone,
I'm Kota (haha, or atleast you can call me Kota :P)
I'm a fourteen years old girl (birthday 29 july) and I love to draw :3.
I mostly draw lions or catish creatures, haha, I have a cat myself as well :3 His name is Balou, he's total black with like ten white hairs on his brest. He's a bit like a little brother to me xD

Advice needed!

Okay, so the first part of my comic (I only have 8 pages yet, but still :P) will soon be scanned, and, I will color it. But that's my question, should I color it?
Like, I could also make it in black & white...... I don't know, because color looks better but in black and white is cheaper to print....... so i don't know.
Any advice?

Oh and, also advice needed in the fact of how I will preview it. Hehe, of course I want people to read it, and be like, woah! I wanna read further, so then they buy it 8D
Well, that's what I would like to happen :P xD
But, I thought about making a 'trailer' and post it at youtube ... and, maybe give out the first chapterish :3

But does anyone have any other ideas of cheap promoting?

I'm fine =3 Having a little holiday-ish, so that means: More time to draw! :D (or make video's of course :P)

Well, cuz my homework always eats time I'm at page 8 now :3 But the 'real' story has ALMOST started =3 *means I'm almost ready with the first part-ish*

ah that's good ^^ I've had about the past. . . week and a bit off because of *hates to say it*. . . nits on my head, :P.

yeah homework does it my time, at least when I actually do it on time xD.

I can't wait to read the story, graphic novels always make me excited ^^ because instead of just reading it and making up what they look like from description I can actually see what the characters and scenes are like. But it is always fun to interpret what things look like :)

*I can't believe it but I'm actually using paragraphs!*

and just to say I admire how much you understand and how well you speak (type xD) english, because I think if I can remmember your from. . or speak Deutsch? maybe I'm getting it wrong lol I always do ':P I can barely speak French!

but everything is going good over here, we have a holiday next week to more drawing time for me as well! I hardly do enough of it as it is!

^^ 8D :) Yeah I find that nice too! But, be prepared for a comic which still needs some work here and there, so dont expect it to be blowing you away all at once ;p

hi ^^
I have a question about photoshop if its too much to ask =P but I keep (as you know xD) colouring out of the line :P I was wondering how you keep it in the lines, I've tried magic wand tool but it creates this white edge and I was wondering if you knew how ^^

Umm, okay I think I cant think of something else, but..... *opens photoshop*

- The Magic wand tool can really help, I use it this way:
1. Make sure all the outlines of your shape are closed.
2. Take the Magic wand tool and click outside of your shape.
3. Select -> Inverse (Shift+Control+I)
4. Make a new layer under the one for your lines.
5. Take the brush tool and fill in your shape (you can easely take a big one because it wont go out of the lines of your shape.

I hope it helps :3
